Attorney

Wayne County’s Attorney is the County’s chief legal officer, and is responsible for providing legal services and legal advice to the County’s Elected Officials, County Government employees, and various County Boards.  The County Attorney is the County’s chief prosecutor, and responsible for prosecuting individuals who commit any public offense proscribed under state statutes or local ordinances.  The County Attorney prosecutes offenses on behalf of the State of Utah, including both Misdemeanors and Felonies.  In addition to prosecution, the County Attorney is responsible for providing legal representation for the County in Civil matters.
